That was my Mama's motto back when she was my basketball coach. You see, she taught me early on that you stay in the game and stay in the fight unless you physically cannot keep playing. No matter how bad the pain is, it will be fine if you keep playing. When life seems overwhelming, challenging, scary, or painful, it will all be fine; keep playing.
Now look, my parents weren't perfect (were anyone?), but they were terrific at cultivating a winning mindset.
They taught me the cornerstones of being able to turn every life slap, every failure, and every golden opportunity into a winning moment.
How to take what you have and where you are and make it a win.
