An easy way to get what you want in your business is to ask for it.

I know, it sounds so simple. But so many business owners don't ask for what they want.. so they never get it.

From the stage to your sales conversations, asking for what you want changes everything. It seems basic, but it really works. This step is often overlooked, but it’s really fundamental to getting what you want. Read these tips and start asking:

1.) Understand what you're asking for. Get crystal clear on what you're asking for and how you'll communicate that to your audience. Honor the value of the connection between you and the client. To ask a client to work with you, you have to have a real respect for the relationship between you and the client.

2.) Go in with a plan. Take the “how” and “why” you're going to ask and apply it. Asking is such a powerful tool, because it allows the potential clients to know about you. That’s number one, because people have to know how you can help them achieve their goals. For you, it leverages the value of what you do because you share it with others and ask them to take a part in your services!

3.) Be consistent. The process of asking needs to be continuous. Don't think to yourself, “Okay, I’m going to go ask 10 people. That’s my goal, then I’m done. You must constantly and consistently ask. It will prepare you for always being open to ask for business and you’ll automatically start attracting clients. If you directly ask people to work with you every time, you'll immediately see a shift in your business.

4.) Just go for it. You'd be surprised how many people will want to work with you once you just ask them too. If you're clear about what you you can provide, then people will already be interested in how you can help them, too. After you've taken all the necessary steps, people will be lined up in the back of the room waiting to see what you can do for them!

What we don’t ask for we never get. What we don’t seek out never comes to fruition for us. It’s very powerful to ask for clients and business. A lot of people get scared about it. Don't let yourself be stopped by fear and just go for it!
