My team and I are hosting our fall event in Atlanta, it’s called Take The Stage! We’ve been planning for this event for over a year and now and it’s finally here. Attendees are getting tons of great training about how to build their speaking biz, get clarity on their messaging, and making connections to take their businesses further.
Putting on an event of this scale takes a lot of hard work, but in the end, seeing it come to fruition makes it all worth it.
But you don’t need a full year to put on an event of your own. In fact, you can put an event on with limited time or resources and still reap the benefits, including more clients and a bigger bottom line.
Here’s a few reasons why:
Events position you as the expert. When you’re the ringleader, you call the shots. When you’re standing in front of a room that you’ve organized yourself, that shows a level of credibility that’s hard to establish anywhere else.
It brings people to you. People can feel the energy in the room when they’re all gathered for a common cause. And in this case, it’s your cause they’ve come for. People coming to your event are already interested in what you have to say, so make sure your content is worthwhile!
You set yourself apart. Putting on your own event, even a small one, sets you apart because it shows people that you’re willing to put in the work to organize an event and wow the room. This effort will not be lost on your audience. Remember, great clients want to work with driven entrepreneurs!
Still worried about putting on an event of your own? There’s no shame in starting small. Put on a half-day event and grow from there. Make sure you always show the audience your expertise and give them the opportunity to work with you!
